    Life Goes On "Ba Doom Boom" and therein lies the rub

    Life goes on

    It halts for no one

    It is not empathic

    And unfazed by the human condition

    It dispassionately proceeds unaffected by tragedies,

    Free of the maelstrom burdens of pain, sorrow, guilt, failures and malcontent.

    An intermittent plague to the human psyche

    Life goes on

    And the only control one has

    Is in deciding the quality in which their life will go on

    Sifting through my email.......

    These days it literally takes hours to sift through my emails, although my home one is better than others as it is seldom shared and designated to a specific few it can be a bit tedious. Don’t even ask me about my email at work, I am yet to get through the 100’s I got when I returned to work February 4th, that is another story for another time when I am not dead tired with a pulsing headache behind my right eye that is preventing me from sleeping making the idea of blogging preferable to feeling the endless jabs in the eyeballs while attempting to sleep.

    Oops where was I........? Oh yeah!  sorry about that, I was sifting through my emails not bothering to open some and just deleting them as they are from the same people who never bother to ask, how I am. Even when I reply sending my regards and inquiring about how they are there is no response except for another on slaughter of emails.

    After I finished my ritual trigger mouse click/delete I opened one from my fabulous cousin. The woman is a dynamo, could hold her own, out run any man and smart as a whip but Lord at times she’s got outrageous sense of humor with a belly laugh that would tickle you down to your toes.  So I am the latest recipient of her wit.

    Here is her latest justification for her preference of wine to water. Enjoy…

    To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... and those who don't.

    • As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.
    • In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria  found in feces.
    • In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
    • However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
    • Remember: Water = Poop,       Wine = Health.
    • Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit.
    • There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service

      See what I mean?

    Choose your battles

    Not every

    call has to be answered ,

    battle has to be won,

    discussion has to be an argument,

    thought has to be voiced,

    Sometimes it is better to agree to disagree

    It is not always about being right or wrong, winning or losing.

    Sometimes it is just about understanding

    Choose your battles

    "Stay blessed & keep your head up"

    SOME THINGS 'R' EASIER SAID THAN DONE

    Sometimes the consequences of telling the truth is so crushingly devastating that it makes lying seem the lesser of two evils and a plausible solution.

    LIFE IS A PARADOX

    LIFE

    Life is a paradox

    Multifaceted,

    Systole and diastole.
    It's a sequence of experiences with complex fluctuations.

    It can be breathtakingly suburb,

    Hellishly masticating,

    Sensuously intoxicating,

    Atrociously devastating

    It is a maelstrom combination of

    The good;

    The bad,

    The sublime;

    The ridiculous,

    The ugly;

    The elegant,

    The love;

    The hate,

    The passion;

    The Indifference,

    The lessons;

    The warnings,

    The ideology;

    The depravity

    All eloquently intertwined,

    Exposing our humanity

    Constantly exigent,

    Taxing the psyche,

    Vacillating confidence;

    Threatening to dismantle hard earned faith,

    Courage and dignity
    Life is a paradox;

    A complex harmony of realities,

    Juxtapose in a melodic symphony to maintain sanity

    Change

    Change, is inevitable. It happens whether you want it or not, whether you go peacefully and willingly or are dragged kicking, screaming, demanding and protesting into it.

    The truth…let’s face it…

    Change is considerably easier in theory than it is in practice.  It is difficult and complex, it requires introspection, doing mental inventory, stepping out of ones comfort zone and letting go of old mind sets that may have served you well in the past but has become a hindrance to you now, ending a relationship(s) or having the courage to rise up and save the one you're in that maybe on life support.

    It challenges one to elevate and heighten their thinking, to perhaps leave behind old ways of thinking, reacting, behaving and conceptualizing in order to embrace something new. It does not mean giving up who you are, just letting go of things, people, notions and theories that keeps one from realizing ones true potential, its about creating a better you or at least it should be.

    Change simply means doing instead of talking about doing.

    MY POINT:

    It is infinitely easier to talk the talk than it is to walk the walk.

    SOMETHING TO PONDER

    Fear is a motivator for many things including doing nothing.

    COUNT THE WAYS...MAYBE

    Oh how I love thee

    Let me count the ways

    Please stop the count

    If it only amounts to

    Hollow spouts

    And shallow praise
