Be Aware of the Signs ~ Something to think considerWhen caring for others begins to feel like a burden it is a sure sign that you are not taking care of yourself. You are as important as those you care for. To ignore the signs of when you are in lack and running on empty is to do things you will regret and say things you cannot take back. Exercise self care and take the time to give to yourself that which you need to rejuvenate and replenish your spirit. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help it is a sign of strength to know ones limits. When you are a 100% you give a 100%, its all about balance and you always have to factor YOU into the equation. Heart Beat

Cleaning Up My MSN Spaces Friend ListNo offense, I am deleting the never-shows. I simply have to clean house so to speak. Now I realize everyone has a different definition of friendship and that’s absolutely ok because hey…differences can be a beautiful thing. I too have my own definition and including in that definition is the criteria that “Friends” stay in touch and keep the lines of communication open and it is with this particular part of my definition is the motivation for cleaning. I understand that there are many levels to friendships.
I can probably guesstimate that there are some people in my life that fit into a few of those categories. The one category I don’t have and will not have is what I call “show-off-ships”. I have noticed a trend here in “Spaces” where people randomly send out invitations for friendships and apart from the initial contact one never reads from them again. If this is the intent please do not send me an invitation. It is a waste of my time. When I invite someone to be a friend my intention is to periodically visit and say hello. Read a post or 2 to learn a bit about the person and maybe when it tickles my fancy make a comment on something that peeks my interest or was enlightening. If my time is sparse I will at least sign your guest book to let you know I was there. I do not promise to do it everyday; lets face it, its more than likely I won’t. I probably won’t do it every week either. I will for the very least visit once a month maybe more time allowing. If you don’t see me for more than a month well then life has intruded and demanded all of my attention and concentration to whether whatever has garbled into my sphere. When the cloud lifts as it inevitably do, I shall return (barring death) like Zorro and leave my mark on your “space step”. My point to the MSN SPACE friendship thing:
That’s my expectation, bold? I do not believe so because I am not asking for anything I am not willing to give. I frimly believe in reciprocity and my right to choose. I am not hating on anyone and I am not mad. The fact of the matter is, my time is precious and I choose to spread it as a luxury on those I deem worthy. I respect everyone’s right to do as they please, when they please, if they please, with whomever they please. I simply do not wish to participate or engage in falsehoods and “show-off-ships”. I celebrate my right to choose and I choose to refuse show-off-ships. Quality is always better than quantity. Peace. Emotional IntegrityEmotional Integrity is not what you do when others are looking, it is what you do when there is no one there to witness. Saying that one is honest does not mean that one is. |
